AI Agents: From Foundations to Applications

Build AI agents that retrieve, reason and act - the skill job descriptions now call agentic AI. Three courses take you from your first prompt-engineered agent to multi-agent systems running in production. Self-paced on Coursera, or 1-on-1 with a Board Infinity coach.

What you’ll learn

  • Design agents with tools, memory and multi-step reasoning
  • Build production RAG with Pinecone embeddings and vector search
  • Orchestrate agentic workflows in LangGraph
  • Ship multi-agent systems with LangSmith evaluation and tracing
  • Assemble an interview-ready portfolio: agent, RAG pipeline, capstone

02 The syllabus, explained

Three courses. Three things you ship.

1Agent Foundations and Prompt EngineeringCourse 1
How LLMs actually reason, and how to control them. Prompt engineering as a discipline - not tricks - plus the anatomy of an agent: goals, tools, memory, loops. You build: Your first working AI agent, built end to end.
2RAG Systems & Agentic Workflows - Pinecone & LangGraphCourse 2
Retrieval-augmented generation done properly: embeddings and vector search with Pinecone, then multi-step agentic workflows orchestrated in LangGraph. You build: A RAG pipeline over your own documents, wired into an agent workflow.
3Advanced Multi-Agent Systems & Production AI - LangSmithCourse 3
Agents that collaborate: planner-worker patterns, hand-offs, guardrails. Then the unglamorous part that gets you hired - evaluation, tracing and observability with LangSmith. You build: A multi-agent capstone you can demo in interviews, instrumented like production.

04 Career outcomes

The job market moved from prompts to agents.

Every major model release in the last two years has pushed the same direction: LLMs that don’t just answer, but act. Teams hiring for GenAI now list agents, RAG and orchestration in the JD itself.

The roles it unlocks

AI Engineer, GenAI Developer, ML Engineer, AI Product Engineer - the fastest-growing openings in Indian tech hiring, and the same stack (RAG, LangGraph, vector databases) appears in nearly all of them.

Why this, why now

Prompt-only skills are already commoditised. What employers screen for is whether you can build the system around the model - retrieval, tools, memory, evaluation. That is exactly what this specialization teaches.

Where it fits in your path

You need working Python first. After this, MLOps or deep-learning specializations extend you further - but agents are the highest-leverage next step for anyone targeting GenAI roles today.

06 Questions

Asked before enrolling.

How is this different from taking it directly on Coursera?
The curriculum and certificate are identical - it is our specialization on Coursera either way. Coming through Board Infinity adds our learner community, career resources when you finish, and the option to take the same syllabus 1-on-1 with a coach instead of alone.
Do I need to be able to code?
You need basic Python - functions, lists, installing packages. If you are not there yet, tell us in the 1-on-1 request and your coach starts with a short Python bridge before the agent material.
Can I take this 1-on-1 with a coach instead of self-paced?
Yes - Board Infinity also delivers this syllabus 1-on-1 with a personal coach: live sessions, project reviews and interview preparation. It starts with a demo session with your matched coach. See the 1-on-1 coaching page for how it works.
How long does the specialization take?
It is fully self-paced. Most working learners finish in 2–3 months on evenings and weekends; 1-on-1 learners typically finish faster because the coach sets the pace and clears blockers live.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes - a Coursera specialization certificate issued under Board Infinity’s partner profile, shareable on LinkedIn, plus a certificate for each of the three courses inside.
What will I actually build?
Three portfolio pieces: a working AI agent, a RAG system over real documents with Pinecone and LangGraph, and a production-instrumented multi-agent capstone with LangSmith. These are the projects interviewers ask to see.
Does Board Infinity help with the job search afterwards?
Career services sit behind every course - resume and interview preparation, and for 1-on-1 learners, interview prep tailored to the exact skill with your coach.
