Campus placement intelligence

Your placement drives, read on the same scale as the open market.

Your recruiters’ job descriptions run through the same analyser and the same vocabulary as 345,595 market postings, so for the first time the two sides can be compared directly.

Why the placement report fails

A placement report is a record, not an instrument.

Assembled after the season, for an audience that wants reassurance. None of it helps you change the next one.

  • Backward-facing - it measures the season you cannot change

By the time the report is written, the cohort has graduated. Every decision it could have informed has already been taken.

  • Unstructured - the JDs go in a folder and stay there

Recruiters send detailed requirements. They are read once, by one person, and never compared against the syllabus or against each other.

  • Unbenchmarked - compared only against yourself

Placement percentages are compared to last year's, which tells you about your own trend and nothing about the market you are competing in.

One analyser, both sides

Read your drives the same way we read the market.

One analyser, one vocabulary. That is what makes your drives and the open market comparable at all.

  1. Upload

Drive JDs as PDF, Word, text or an Excel vacancy log, tagged by college, programme, drive year and CTC band.

  2. Analyse

The same analyser that reads market postings extracts skills and assigns a role archetype, with a confidence score.

  3. Review

Low-confidence matches queue for a person rather than landing in your dashboard as fact.

  4. Compare

Your recruiters' requirements against live market demand for the same roles, in one governed vocabulary.

  5. Benchmark

Your position against comparable institutions - by type, state and programme mix, never name by name.

One analyser, or the comparison is meaningless.

It is tempting to run campus JDs through something lighter - they are shorter and there are fewer of them. We do not, because a skill extracted by a different method is not comparable to one extracted by this one, and the entire value here is that the two sides line up.

Settled by evidence, not argument

Before you ask

What placement cells ask first.

What does the 982 figure actually mean?

982 institutions are indexed in the platform - name, state and the metadata needed to compare like with like. It is a reference index, not a client list, and we are careful about that distinction: being in the index means we can benchmark against the institution type, not that the institution is a customer.

How do our own recruiter JDs get in?

You upload them. PDFs, Word files, plain text, or an Excel vacancy log - tagged by college, programme, drive year and CTC band. They then run through exactly the same analyser as the 345,595 market postings, which is the point: your recruiters' actual requirements end up in the same governed vocabulary as the open market, so the two can be compared.

What can we compare ourselves against?

Institution type, state and programme mix - the axes that make a comparison fair. Comparing a tier-2 engineering campus against an IIM tells you nothing you can act on. We do not publish other institutions' figures to you, and we do not publish yours to them.

Is this the same as our placement report?

No. Your placement report tells you what happened. This tells you what was being asked for - the requirements behind the drives, in the same vocabulary as your curriculum - which is the part that lets you change something before the next cycle rather than explain the last one.
