Programme intelligence

Every course in your catalogue, mapped against the market it feeds.

Programmes decomposed to their courses, courses mapped to governed skills and exit roles, and a readiness state on every row, so a programme we cannot yet speak to is visibly marked as one.

The columns a dean reads

One row per programme, and seven columns that have to agree.

A coverage percentage alone is disputable. Each column can be opened and checked on its own.

When we say we cannot tell you

Three states, and two of them are admissions.

A coverage figure built on two mapped courses is not a small number. It is a wrong one.

  1. Complete The figure is real

Courses mapped, skills linked to the governed taxonomy

The coverage figure rests on course-level content, so it can be defended line by line.

  2. Needs curriculum mapping We hold it, we cannot yet score it

Programme in the catalogue, course detail missing

The programme is listed but the course content behind it has not reached the platform, so no coverage figure is produced.

  3. No course mapped Nothing to report

    No course-level content received

It shows as empty rather than as zero. An empty cell is a to-do; a zero is a claim.

A catalogue-health read, before any recommendation.

The screen opens with the weakest programmes, not the strongest - the ones with no mapped courses, no linked skills or no matched roles. That list is the first deliverable of an engagement, because it tells you what the analysis cannot yet see about your own institution.

How a gap becomes a decision

From a percentage to a course a faculty member owns.

  1. Decompose

The programme is broken into its courses, and each course into the skills it actually teaches - from the catalogue, not from the prospectus.

  2. Link

Each course skill is proposed against the governed taxonomy. A reviewer approves, edits or rejects; low-confidence links wait for a person.

  3. Score

In-scope market demand for the programme's exit roles is compared against what the linked courses evidence.

  4. Rank

Gaps are ordered by demand weight, so the biggest exposure surfaces before the easiest fix.

  5. Recommend

A written recommendation per programme, attributable and arguable, for faculty review - never an applied change.

Settled by evidence, not argument

Four questions a curriculum committee currently settles by argument.

  1. 01

    Which programme is most exposed?

Ranked by the demand-weighted size of the gap in your own market scope, not by enrolment.

  2. 02

Which course should carry the fix?

The gap points at courses, with the ones already part-covering the skill surfaced first.

  3. 03

Are two programmes doing the same job?

Course-level skill overlap and shared exit archetypes make duplication visible without an audit.

  4. 04

What can we not yet see?

The readiness column, read as a to-do list, rather than as a silent gap in the numbers.

Five capabilities, one evidence base.

Each one is a different question about the same corpus. They share a vocabulary, so a finding in one holds up inside another.

Before you ask

What programme leads ask first.

What is a "readiness state"?

A per-programme verdict on how much of it we can actually speak to. Complete means the programme's courses are mapped and the coverage figure is real. Needs curriculum mapping means we hold the programme but not enough course detail to make a claim. No course mapped means exactly that. The states exist so a thin programme is visibly thin rather than quietly averaged into a portfolio number.

Why map courses rather than programmes?

Because a programme-level gap is not actionable. Telling a dean that their MBA under-covers stakeholder management starts an argument; showing which four courses could carry it, and which one already half does, starts a redesign. UOWD's engagement went to 521 courses across 40 programmes for this reason.

Where does the demand side come from?

The live posting corpus, scoped to the market you actually place into - the scope is a setting on the screen, not a global average. A Dubai campus is read against GCC demand. Coverage is then the overlap between what the market asks for in that scope and what your courses evidence, in one governed vocabulary.

Does the system rewrite our curriculum?

No. It produces written recommendations per programme and a ranked gap list. Every one is a flag for faculty review. There is no path by which an analysis edits a syllabus, and the page states the basis for every number it shows so a programme lead can argue with it.

What if we disagree with a skill link?

Reject it. Course skills are linked to the governed taxonomy as proposals - a reviewer approves, edits or rejects each one, and low-confidence links are marked as needing a manual decision rather than being applied. The mapping is a draft until a person signs it.
